Maximum dose for adults: 150 mg daily.
Capsule for adults: 35 mg 3 times daily.
Sodium release tablet for adults: 100 mg orally once a day, 50 mg consumption 2 or 3 times daily.
Sodium enteric-coated tablet for adults: 50 mg for 2 or 3 times daily or 75 mg for 2 times daily.
Condition: Ankylosing Spondylitis
Maximum dose for adults: 125 mg per day.
Enteric-coated and slow-releasing tablet: 25 mg orally 4 times daily. An additional dose of 25 mg can be taken before bedtime if necessary.
Condition: Dysmenorrhea

Details

Cataflam or Diclofenac is a non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory drug (NSAIDs). It works by reducing substances in the body that cause pain and inflammation. Cataflam helps treat mild to moderate pain or signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis. In addition, it can also relieve menstrual cramps.
The use of Cataflam can increase the risk of a heart attack or fatal stroke, especially if you use it in the long run, in high doses, or if you suffer from heart disease. Do not use it before or after heart bypass surgery.
Cataflam can also cause gastrointestinal bleeding – which can be fatal. This condition can occur without warning, particularly in the elderly.
Dosing Considerations for Cataflam (Diclofenac) Read the instructions on the drug label before you start taking Cataflam. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Take it by mouth with a full glass of water (8 ounces / 240 milliliters), unless your doctor recommends otherwise.
Do not lie down, at least 10 minutes after drinking Cataflam.
To prevent abdominal pain, drink Cataflam with food, milk, or antacids.
There are various brands and forms of Cataflam drugs available. Do not change its bands without your doctor’s permission.
Dosage will be given based on your medical condition, response to treatment, and other medications you may be taking.
Be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist about all the products you use, including prescription medications, non-prescription medications, and herbal products.
To minimize the risk of side effects such as abdominal bleeding, use Cataflam at the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible period of time. Do not increase the dose or take it more often than prescribed.
For certain conditions such as arthritis, it may take up to 2 weeks of regular use before experiencing the optimal benefits of Cataflam.
If you use it as needed for your condition or not on a regular schedule, remember that painkillers work best when used after the symptoms first arise. If you wait until the pain worsens, the medicine will not work properly.
